Halloween 2008

Didn't take too many pics but here's what I got:

Fake skin & blood recipes after the jump, mostly for me so I can remember what I did. Never know when you'll need some fake skin and blood!

.......

Blood:

1/6 c. Warm Water
2.5 Tbsp Corn Starch
1/3 c. Corn Syrup
1.5 tsp Cocoa
15 drops red food coloring
1 drop green food coloring

Mix the corn starch with the water in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the corn syrup then cocoa. Add the food coloring. Before adding the food coloring, split the base up into separate bowls so you can make different shades of blood.

Skin:
flour
corn starch
elmer's glue
cocoa powder

Mix equal parts flour and corn starch. Add glue carefully to make a paste. It looks too dry at first, but will quickly become too wet. Aim for a dough like paste. Then add cocoa to tint it darker to match your skin tone. Apply to skin, shape as it dries, and color only after it's set.
