Anyone watch the presidential debate last night? Tom texted me wanting to register http://www.joetheplumber.com but it's taken and belongs to a real plumber, asscrack and all.

http://joetheplumberforobama.com - registered by someone during the debate and has a live page now. Going to ask the guy to add a link to Obama's page.
http://plumbersforobama.com - Available! So I submitted a registration immediately.

Unfortunately someone else submitted a registration too a few minutes before mine and they got it :( We were going to make tshirts and redirect people to Obama's site. Plus, we'd have our own email addresses. We would have greg@plumbersforobama.com, tom@plumbersforobama.com, and lazyj@plumbersforobama.com. How cool would that be? It'd be about 3 weeks worth of coolness, to answer my own question.

Those email addresses don't work even though they got auto-linked. The image was anonymously posted on facebook. The sad thing is people will think Joe the Plumber is some poor dude barely getting along and Obama is going to raise taxes on him. The reality is Joe "the Plumber" is really Joe "the prospective business owner who makes lots of money." No one mentions the actual increase in taxes for someone just over the $250k mark which is actually very low. When I originally looked at their tax plans I noted that even up to incomes of $600k your taxes wouldn't increase by much. So will Joe the Plumber pay more taxes? Sure. Enough so that he has to lay off workers or not be able to afford his business? Hardly.
