So, I just turned 30. A couple years ago at my Sister's college graduation under heavy intoxication I decided that I was going to get a tattoo when I turned 30. And I decided that I would get the same tattoo that my Grandfather had.
Growing up a young lad in Montana I spent a lot of time w/ my Grandpa. My grandparents only lived 45 minutes away. So they came in often to watch sporting events. All holidays were spent at their house, and I always spent at least two weeks in the summer w/ them along w/ many scattered weekends. So my Grandpa was a pretty big influence on me growing up. While I was in high school he died and it was my first real experience w/ the death of someone close. I found it to be very traumatizing and as a result it was also one of my most significant emotional bonding experiences w/ my Father.
Grandpa's tattoo was on his right shoulder. It was his name. Everyone called him Grandpa Dick.

My recreation: (I don't have any kids. So I used my girlfriend's cat.)

And, well, there's no denying there's some humor in it too.
