What's up? School is out for the college kids, summer is around the corner, and I keep going to the doctor. I'll tell ya why later since I don't want y'all to worry. Actually I don't want my parents to worry, and while they don't read Flattire it doesn't seem right to tell you guys about it first before them. It's most likely no big deal. And no, I'm not bleeding from the ass (this time).
The latest installment was a MRI, which I've never been fond of because of the whole buried alive feel. Don't think you're claustrophobic? Try laying in tube just about as big as you are for an hour and see how that goes. I had to have a lovely catheter inserted this time into my arm so they could inject me with fun contrast enhancing stuff mid way through. I'm not a big fan of needles, but blood draws usually aren't too bad. The problem with a catheter is it's bigger, and they leave it in your arm. I've had them for surgery before but they always numb the area first. Not this time.
So the dumbass at the radiology place ends up sticking me four (4!!!) times before he finally got it right. And yeah, it hurts. The pressure of it sliding up your vein is not pleasant, and I wanted to punch the guy for sucking so bad at it. Plus his bedside manner sucked. The following phrases are not things you want to hear from a guy sticking a needle in your arm.
"That's not good"
"How is this possible?"
"I just don't understand..."
I had a late appointment and unfortunately he was the only one there. After he screwed up the third time I decided to give him one more chance before I walked out. Fortunately Dingleberry got it right that 4th time.
Hope everyone is doing well, and have a great weekend!
Here's a pic from my last sleep test for you to laugh at. I passed, got a 65.
